About this piece

Bring a sense of true artistry to your table with this masterfully handcrafted chair, a piece that blurs the line between furniture and sculpture. Designed with the human form in mind, it offers exceptional comfort without the need for upholstery, relying instead on precision shaping and the warmth of solid wood.

The chair is defined by its hand-sculpted saddle seat, deeply contoured to cradle the sitter perfectly. Rising from the seat is a graceful, high backrest featuring floating vertical slats that curve gently to support the spine. The frame is constructed from solid hardwood (likely Cherry or a similar warm-toned wood), showcasing a rich, amber hue and lively grain patterns.

Inspired by the legendary styles of Sam Maloof and other master woodworkers, the joinery is a focal point in itself. Smooth, fluid transitions connect the legs to the seat, and subtle, dark contrasting plugs (visible at the joints) add a touch of refined detail that speaks to the quality of construction.
