Constructed from solid American Black Walnut, each table showcases the wood’s celebrated spectrum of color, from deep chocolate heartwood to streaks of honey-toned sapwood on the surface. The design features substantial legs and a gently arched apron that softens the architectural lines.
The true mark of quality lies in the details: the drawer box is built with traditional dovetail joinery, featuring a contrasting lighter hardwood (likely maple) that highlights the interlocking craftsmanship every time you open it. Finished with a simple, matte black pull and a lower shelf for curated display, these tables are built to last for generations.
Scott Wilson is a local artisan who developed an interest in fine furniture about 10 years ago. He has been focusing full time on this interest for the last four years. He enjoys all aspects of furniture making and has extra interest in sculpted style furniture. He has received recognition for this style with a mixed media award at the Western Design Conference in Jackson Hole with a piece created in collaboration with local antler furniture artisan Doug Nordberg. He looks forward to continuing to hone his craft and provide unique furniture pieces to clients.
