2021 BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, May 28 through September 6, 2021

9:00AM – 5:00PM – Beginning Memorial Day weekend, patrons may view the Scout’s Miniature Sale at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West which features over 70 participating Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Artists! The Miniature Sale acts as a preview for what’s to come in this year’s Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Exhibition and Live Auction. This is the perfect opportunity for patrons to start their own Western art collection as these works of art are smaller than those created for the Live Auction! Open to the public at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.

9:00AM – 4:00PM – Join Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Artist David Santillanes for Painting on the Porch! This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop provides intermediate to advanced painters personalized instruction and fellowship with return BBAS Artist David Santillanes.

A self-taught artist, Dave began painting shortly after graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Graphic Design. But he points to his first plein air painting excursion as the true beginnings of his development as a painter where direct observation allowed for a more precise rendering of color, light and atmosphere.

Registration Required. Cost $375, limited to first 10 participants.

9:00AM- 10:00AM – Join Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Artist Blake Neubert for Colorful Canvases! This educational class provides beginner to advanced painters personalized instruction and fellowship with return BBAS Artist Blake Neubert.

Blake Neubert was raised in Powell, Wyoming, but lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, with his wife, Sarah. He is a self-taught artist who credits his father, Clay Neubert, as his true inspiration. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States and China. In 2004 Blake was the recipient of the Gilly Fales Fine Art Award for aspiring young artists given by the Fales family in honor of their daughter, Gilly. Blake attributes his success as an artist to winning this award. Neubert also runs an art therapy program in Colorado, working with youth and adults transitioning in and out of detention and treatment facilities.

5:00PM – 10:00PM – 40th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Join auctioneers Black and Associates for this riveting and fast paced Live Auction of original Western art! Enjoy our 100+ artists’ broad range of stylistic interpretations of the American West in mediums such as oil, watercolor, pastel and sculpture. Saturday, September 18

9:00AM – 1:00PM – Watch nearly 40 Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Artists create a work of art in under ninety minutes! These one of a kind works will be auctioned on the runway while you enjoy a champagne brunch! Open to the public.
