Drew W. Hubatsek of Bigfork, Montana, says he was fortunate to have grown up in Rochester, New York, in the 1950’s.
“In retrospect, my exposure to the rich cultural milieu of the area has inspired and influenced me to this day,” he says. Drew’s introduction to Adirondack Rust Style was during summers at his family camp in the Adirondack Mountains. It was there that he was struck by the purity and “inherent rightness” of the rustic furniture and architecture that is found throughout the region.
“Today I design and create rustic pieces in my Woods Bay, Montana, studio that I hope honor that inherent rightness. I remember and reflect the reverences for nature that to me is the essence of the Adirondack rustic style.”
